Light Field (2012) Performance Now Online
Video documentation of Sydney Cooper’s 2012 performance Light Field, first presented during Pacific Standard Time in Los Angeles, is now available to view on her site and YouTube channel.
We’re excited to share that Sydney Cooper’s 2012 performance Light Field, originally presented as part of the Pacific Standard Time Festival in Los Angeles, is now available to view online.
In the piece, Cooper performs a raking ceremony that honors the creative influences within her family — her father, artist Ron Cooper, whose work explored light and reflection, and her Japanese great-grandfather, who tended gardens in the postwar years.
You can watch the video on the Performance Work page or on our new YouTube channel.
And if you’d like to learn more about the larger performance series that Light Field was part of, check out this article on Pulp Lab: “PST: Art in the Parking Space @ The Standard, Hollywood”.
We hope you’ll take a moment to experience Light Field.
